Bita is the new project from singer-songwriter Lisa Houdei, formerly known as LéPonds. A singular force in experimental folk, Houdei has released four independent albums and toured nationally with artists like Jeff Tweedy, Natalie Prass, and Black Belt Eagle Scout, as well as with long time collaborator Haley Heynderickx.

Growing up in a bi-cultural Persian household, music and song found Biita early on. At this young age, she chose guitar as her instrument and learned to play in her own, intuitive way– now possessing a style completely her own. The songs take unexpected twists & turns; heartwarmingly so.

Formally based in Topanga Canyon, Los Angeles, now based in Woodstock, NY, she returns under a new moniker, along with her most powerful work to date. More soon…
